We found this green tunnel in the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden on Staten Island. After two fun ferry rides and a bus ride we arrived in this beautiful spot were you can easily spend a calm day far away from the bustling city.

On our first evening in the city, Karen and I went to the riverside of the East River to relax and have a look at New York City from the distance. Even though we have been told it wasn’t the most impressive, the Williamsburg Bridge appeared massive to me!
