Even though it looks a bit like a desert, this canyon and its surroundings are actually very green with a lot of pine trees and living animals like chipmunks!
I'm fine mom :)
Another view point of the Bryce Canyon. On the right side, the path leads to a very steep and narrow trail called Wall Street as it is surrounded by very high hoodoos.
This National Park, in southern Utah, is known for its red hoodoos. Those spires are rocks shaped by ice and water over the last million years.

Typical road in the desert in the United States of America. Sand, Cactus and Rock'n'Roll !
This lake is actually the Colorado River on a very large scale. I went swimming there, the water was really refreshing after crossing the desert.
Outside of the Antelope Canyon, is a desert. No tree to be seen around, no shadow, no water, nothing. There is only a road going to city few miles away and... me :)
Those stunning red walls are made of sand that backed with water and very hot temperatures. Of course, this happened in million of years!
