San José del Pacifico is a very small town in the montains between Oaxaca and Puerto Escondido. It is famous for the hikes around and the 'hongos' ;)

That zipline is the longest one in Mexico, about a 1 kilometer long! Even though the weather was very bad it was actually fun to do :)

After a long day driving through Mexico we were lucky to get that stunning sunset. That night we slept in a Cabaña lost in the woods. Awesome place but sooooo cold haha!
This plant, also known as aguave, is the main ingredient for the Tequila and Mezcal alcohols!

This skull has been discovered within a Mixtecs tomb for one of their kings and his sacrified servants.
The Aztecs used this kind of sculpture as funerary urn. The figure depicts characteristics of the deceased.

Picture showing the ceiling inside the monastery of Santo Domingo de Guzmán. There is gold literally everywhere !!
This church and former monastery has an incredible ceiling with many details made out of gold. The rest of the complex is now a museum about the Aztec culture.
For what I have seen, this is a typical Mexican street. One or max two floors buildings, lots a colors, flowers and of course a piñata ;)
